Biography
My doctoral research investigates work in social cooperatives in Milan in Italy. I draw on labour and feminist economic geography to understand what counts as work in the social and solidarity economy, discuss the widespread presence of precarious work, and query the role that ideas of totalizing commitment play in normalizing poor working conditions.
More broadly, I am interested in the lived experiences, perspectives, and struggles of the people whose work sustains alternative economic spaces such as social enterprises, cooperatives, urban agriculture projects, and green businesses.
