Biography

Yinnon Geva is an urban planner with a scholarly and applied interest in the social implications of urban development. Joining the Department of Geography and the School of Cities, he will examine the production of social infrastructure through creative mixed-use projects in Toronto. His dissertation examined the evolution of Israel’s state-led urban regeneration program. The study explored how developers, homeowners, and municipal governments learned to balance the social implications and the market logic of the national program.
