2025-26 TUGS Executive

Margad Sukhbaatar, Co-President

Hi! I’m Margad (she/her) and I am currently a fourth-year student doing a specialist in Human Geography with a focus in planning, and with minors in both Environmental Geography and Political Science. I'm really excited to return to TUGS this year and serve as Co-president, and I hope to build even more of a community within the department and help voice student concerns. Currently, I’ve been interested in urban politics and all things social geography. Outside of school, I like to wind down by knitting (or any other sort of crafts), and spending time outdoors or hiking.

Jenny Yin, Co-President

Hi everyone! I’m Jenny and I’m in second year doing a double major in Human Geography, Economics, and a minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). I am super excited to be back on TUGS as one of your Co-Presidents this year! I hope we can provide a space where we can learn, bond, and grow together. I love learning about how humans interact with urban and natural environments, and how we can achieve both green sustainability and economic prosperity. We have many exciting events planned for this year, stay connected through our Instagram (@tugs.uoft) and Quercus! If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out! Also feel free to reach out for coffee, hikes, biking, or volleyball :D

Hello! My name is Quintina and I am so excited to be a part of TUGS this year as Social Coordinator! I am a third-year undergraduate student double-majoring in Political Science & Peace, Conflict, Justice, with a minor in Human Geography! Ever since revisiting my home in China for the first time since the pandemic in 2023, seeing the growth in public infrastructure and transit created a deep-rooted interest in these systems that impact our everyday quality of life, with a focus on intersectionality. Aside from my studies, I am a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, and I can be found performing around Toronto whenever I have the time. I can't wait to plan events for the Geography community this year! :)
