Description

The first PAC Pizza with Planners of 2023-2024 will provide an overview of Ontario’s planning framework and will introduce key policies and regulations. Students will be introduced to the practical application of planning principles and policies through an introduction and discussion about the planning process. The speakers will provide pro-tips geared to guide students through the first few years of their planning practice.

Helen Huang, MscPl, MCIP, RPP
Helen was trained in architecture prior to a graduate degree focused on land use planning and urban design. She currently is a Senior Project Manager at Metrolinx working on critical land development projects supporting the Ontario Line. Prior to working at Metrolinx, Helen worked on high-profile masterplanned developments such as Alexandra Park and The Well. Helen also worked as a consultant at MHBC, preformed long-range land use policy analysis at the Province of Ontario, and led community-engagement work in the non-profit arts sector.

Anna Wynveen, MscPl
Anna joined Bousfields full-time in 2015 after graduating from University of Toronto with a Master of Science in Urban Planning. Anna is involved in a wide range of planning projects in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, including preparation of sitespecific policy research, planning rationales and associated studies, community services and facilities studies, and development applications. She is also responsible for preparing materials for senior staff at Ontario Land Tribunal and Local Planning Appeal Tribunal hearings.
