About

Established in 1996, the Planning Alumni Committee (PAC) is a non-profit volunteer organization comprised of graduates of the Master of Science in Planning (MScPl) program working to enrich the learning experiences of current graduate planning students. PAC’s mandate is twofold:

  1. to encourage networking among alumni, faculty, planning students and other planning industry professionals; and
  2. to raise money for planning scholarships and the Friends of Planning Fund.

The Planning Alumni Committee meets virtually on the second Wednesday of every month throughout the academic year. To attend please email committee@uoftpac.ca. Our monthly meetings ensure the success of our programming and initiatives such as the Mentorship Program, student learning modules and workshops, and our annual Spring Social. Thanks to the generous donations made to our Friends of Planning Fund, we are able to fund scholarships, student travel for conferences, and the annual graduate planning field trip.

Getting Involved

As alumni of the MScPl program, you are part of our Planning Alumni Community. We welcome you to join our monthly meetings, run for a leadership role, or support individual initiatives. Members of the Community have supported our friendraising and fundraising efforts through different means and capacities, including mentoring MScPl students, participating in student learning modules and workshops, spreading the word and attending our annual Spring Social, and contributing to our Friends of Planning Scholarship Fund.

We understand that not every member of our Planning Alumni Community can attend our monthly meetings. There are many different ways to support PAC and MScPl students and we encourage you to reach out if you have any ideas or questions. There is always a place for you in PAC!

If you want to get involved, please email committee@uoftpac.ca.

You can follow PAC on Linked-InTwitterFacebook, and Instagram.
