Biography : 

Rimsha is a Master of Art Candidate and her research will explore intergenerational educational attitudes in South Asian families from Scarborough with a focus on acculturation and social capital. She's passionate about civic engagement and youth development. Throughout her undergrad, she volunteered and worked with many organizations to advocate and promote post-secondary issues and civic literacy. She recently graduated from the City Studies co-op program at UTSC and served as Vice-President of Academics and University Affairs at the Scarborough Campus Student Union. Rimsha’s professional experiences include working at Employment Social Development Canada as a Junior Policy Officer, where she supported various policy and program designs aimed at increasing access to post-secondary education across Canada. In her free time, she likes to read and go on walks.
