Harshvir
Last Name:
Bali
Title:
PhD Candidate (he/him)
Biography :

My PhD investigates Henri Lefebvre's notion of the production of space by observing how governments or government agencies enact policies to restructure land rights and ownership. Namely, I study how minority notions of identity and belonging are shaped by space and governance in South Asia.
My work is an extension of my MA project, which analyzed how communities utilize political action to attain minority representation and to alleviate their economic, political, and legal restrictions which have produced inequitable access to work and representation.
