Biography

I am a PhD student in Planning who holds a BS in Architectural Engineering from UAEU, UAE, and an MS in Urban Design from EMU, Cyprus. My research explores the everyday resistance of Palestinians living under Israeli military occupation. I am interested in examining the ways in which ordinary people make do and resist in their daily urban lives, negotiating not only for everyday survival but also for community Sumud (steadfastness), grassroots sovereignty, and national identity.
