Event Abstract
In a world where headlines often skim the surface of deep and complex issues, the MOCA (Mapping Our Cities for All) project delves into the heart of urban (in)accessibility. This talk explores the innovative research that propelled MOCA into the spotlight, reaching an audience of over 122 million globally. Discover how we employed a unique blend of geographic information science, participatory mapping, and the lived experiences of people with disabilities to reshape our understanding of the accessibility of urban spaces. I’ll journey through the project’s challenges, breakthroughs, and its implications for creating accessible cities.
