Fatima Zahra is a Masters of Science in Planning student, and completed her undergraduate degree in Human Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Toronto. Her current research interests explore opportunities for urban planning to adapt in light of climate migration and eco-anxiety, to understand how to better serve faith-based and immigrant communities. Alongside her urban planning interests, Fatima passionately researches the relationship between religion and the environment, considering the ways that Muslim communities engage with sustainability, and how religious textual analysis can support renewed environmental awareness.
